Senior Day sendoff 2021 honors some players who have been through a lot
Montana State honors a special group of men today, when the 19 graduates or graduates-to-be are honored on Senior Day. The players below helped push the Bobcats from three straight sub-.500 records (2015-16-17) to near the pinnacle of the FCS. In Montana State's most recent season, 2019, the Bobcats advanced to the FCS Semifinals for the first time since 1984. This year's group

One man's misfortune is another's opportunity. Receiver Jaden Smith, who has started Montana State's first nine games, will miss the contest against Idaho with an injury. That opens the door for Nate Stewart, a projected starter in the preseason who made his Bobcat debut last week at Eastern Washington. Stewart caught a pass in his first game in the Blue & Gold at Eastern Washington.

Montana State clinched its 16th eight-win season by beating No. 5 Eastern Washington a week ago. Seven of those eight-win seasons have occurred in the last 20 years.

Idaho will be without two offensive starters today. Quarterback Mike Beaudry (and his listed backup) are both expected to miss today's game. Zach Borisch and Macloud Crowton are expected to man the position for the Vandals today.

Fans can expecte a close game today. Montana State's last five home wins against Idaho have been decided by eight points or less, and a cumulative 18 points.
