Montana State's defense held its fifth straight foe under 20 points
A quick look back at Montana State's 40-7 win against Northern Colorado in Bobcat Stadium on Saturday...
NOTES
• Isaiah Ifanse's 114 rushing yards gained against Northern Colorado makes him the 16th player in Bobcat history to string three games of at least 100 yards on the ground together (three of those players did so twice). Eight Bobcats previously rushed for 100 yards in at least four straight games, most recently current Bobcat linebacker Troy Andersen (six in 2018) and Ifanse's former teammate Chris Murray (four in 2017).
• Isaiah Ifanse has now rushed for 2,441 yards in his career, eighth-most in school history. He has 603 yards on the ground this season, second-most in the FCS. His 120.6 yards per game is sixth nationally, and his 6.35 yards per carry is 18th.
• Matthew McKay currently stands 15th in the FCS in passing yards (1,181), 26th in passing yards per game (236.2), seventh in yards per completion (14.95), and fifth in passing efficiency.
• Lance McCutcheon's 107 receiving yards against UNC gives him back-to-back 100-yard games and three in his last four contests. His 1,043 career receiving yards is 77 from Montana State's career top 10 list, and his 521 yards this season is 433 from the single-season chart. He added his first career rushing touchdown on Saturday for good measure.
• The Bobcats' 221.0 rushing yards per game this season leads the Big Sky and is 11th in the FCS.
• Montana State's defense has held all five 2021 opponents to less than 20 points, 350 totally yards, and 20 first downs.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
