McMullen Paces Montana State Nordic Contingent at DU Invitational

Montana State sophomore Zanden McMullen continued his early season prowess, placing fourth in the men's 7.5K freestyle event at the Denver Invitational at Maloit Park on Friday afternoon.

McMullen, a product of Anchorage, Alaska, covered the course in 19:36.5. Colorado's Magnus Boee won the event in 19:07.9.

Also recording points for the Bobcats were Reed Godfrey, 13^th, 20:21.1, and Ti Donaldson, 15^th, 20:46.5. Eli Jensen, 17^th, 21:01.5, and Eli Hermanson, 21^st, 21:31.9, completed MSU's squad.

The Bobcat women were led in scoring by Aubrey LeClair. The sophomore from Anchorage covered the 5K race in 16:17.5. LeClair was followed by Sophia Mazzoni, 14^th, 16:33.9, and Adrianna Proffitt, 18^th, 16:49.5. Emma Albrecht finished 22^nd in 17:52.3.

Utah's Novie McCabe won the women's title in 14:27.4.

With just the Nordic classical races left, Utah sits atop the team standings with 490 points. The Utes are followed by Colorado 448, MSU 407.5, Westminster 359, Alaska Anchorage 346.5, Denver 190, and Colorado Mountain 121.
