The 1981 Bobcats announced a strong group of graduate assistants
August 28
1992 - Rob Tesch scored a 70-yard touchdown on a reverse in MSU's final fall scrimmage. Tesch also returned a kickoff 56 yards and two punts for 24 yards. Tesch caught 35 passes for 542 yards and three touchdowns in 1992, returning 13 kickoffs for 283 yards and 24 punts for 267 yards and a touchdown.
1981 - In a press release by the school's legendary Sports Information Director Bruce Parker, MSU announced the football program's group of grad assistants for the upcoming season: MSU's all-time rushing leader to that point, Steve Kracher, former Grizzly star Greg Salo, former Bobcat Dan Davies, and Helena High assistant principal Pat Darbro. Davies has been at MSU for all but two years since, the last 32 as an athletics administrator, while Salo was the football program's accomplished defensive coordinator in the '90s under Cliff Hysell. He also served as the head coach at Butte High in the years after he left the Bobcat staff. Darbro enjoyed a long career as a Bozeman school administrator. Kracher eventually became a high school coach in California and worked as Cal Poly's equipment manager for a number of years.
