Bobcat student-athletes urge MSU fans to keep football season tickets for anticipated spring season
| As you likely saw last week, the Big Sky Conference has announced plans to postpone the 2020 fall football season to the spring of 2021. Bobcat Athletics continues to be committed to the safety and well-being of student-athletes, coaches and fans and supports the Big Sky Conference in this decision. It's ok to be disappointed. We are, too, but we're also full of hope for the upcoming spring championship season. We encourage you to watch our video response to the announcement. You'll hear Troy talk about how he can't wait to run out of that tunnel in front of the Bobcat Family again, and you'll agree with Daniel's confidence in knowing our community will be stronger on the other side of this. You'll see Lewis mention the importance of spending time with his teammates in this new offseason... and you'll hear Tucker proudly proclaim that this team wants to play for not just one ring... but two. Bobcat Athletics relies heavily on the support of you- our season ticket holders and athletic donors- to provide support to all 350+ of our student-athletes. Our primary goal right now is to reduce the risk of our student-athletes receiving diminished support and opportunities to be successful. It's important to note that Bobcat Athletics remains fiscally responsible for the educational support including scholarships, housing and wellness expenses for our student-athletes… regardless of what this year's competition seasons look like. Amongst the out-of-pocket expenses that we'll incur this year are $2M in scholarships (including tuition, fees, book, room and board), $600K in medical spending and insurance, and another half a million dollars in food and nutrition. Simply put- we need your help. The simplest way for you to make an impact is to keep your season tickets for the spring 2021 season. All payments previously made by football season ticket holders for the 2020 season- including ticket payment and any applicable required seat donation- are automatically applied to the upcoming spring season, and double priority points allocated to your Bobcat Club Annual Scholarship account. Note: if you make any changes to your account, such as request a refund, this will affect your priority points moving forward. In order to accommodate the different financial situations of our fans, we will also offer the option to defer payment to the fall 2021 season or to request full or partial refunds. Any requests for a full or partial refund must be made on the form below and received by October 1. Refunds will take 6-8 weeks to process from the time of the request. |

| (Reminder- no need to submit form if you would like to keep your tickets for the spring of 2021) If reduced capacity or reduced number of home games comes into play this spring, account balances will be assessed at the conclusion of the season. It is important to note that current season ticket holders (not including those who request a refund or deferment) will be given priority for seats should we be required by local and state health officials to reduce capacity. We do not yet know how tailgating and parking will be affected, but will release information to you once we do. We appreciate your patience, understanding and continued support as we navigate the complicated scenarios around supporting our student-athletes during this time, and we understand that each of our fans are affected by the pandemic differently. If your financial situation allows, please consider making an additional gift to our Bobcat Club Annual Scholarship Fund in support of our student-athletes- it's more important now than ever. We urge you to continue to 'Back the Cats' during this time of uncertainty. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to a member of our team, listed below. We also encourage you to visit our FAQ's page for the most up-to-date information, updated as we continue to learn more.
