Tarbath Reaches Podium at RMISA Qualifier

Montana State senior Emma Tarbath reached the podium placing third in the 21-km classic at the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association qualifier on Sunday afternoon at Snowmass Cross Country Ski Center.
ASPEN, Colo. – Montana State senior Emma Tarbath reached the podium placing third in the 21-km classic at the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association qualifier on Sunday afternoon at Snowmass Cross Country Ski Center.
Tarbath covered the course in 1:24:23.9, just two spots behind Denver's Eveliina Piippo, who clocked a winning time of 1:23:03.4.
Other Bobcat finishers included Anna Fake, 11th, 1:29:00.3, Kat O'Connell, 13th, 1:29:46.4, Matilda Joensson, 14th, 1:30:02.2, and Aubrey Leclair, 15th, 1:30:18.3.
The Bobcat men were led for the second day by freshman Zanden McMullen, who finished fifth in the 21-km event in a time of 1:11:20.5. Colorado's Magnus Boee won the classic crown in 1:10:28.3.
Other finishers for MSU included Eli Jensen, 10th, 1:12:46.2, Reed Godfrey, 18th, 1:15:45.6, Eli Hermanson, 24th, 1:17:00.0, and Ti Donaldson, 25th, 1:19:00.0.
RMISA qualifiers do not count towards any team scoring and are used as an extra opportunity for skiers to earn qualification points for the NCAA Championships at the end of the season, which will be hosted by Montana State.
MSU will compete in the Utah Invitational beginning Feb. 14 at Soldier Hollow.
