Bobcats Finish Fourth at DU Invite

Montana State’s Zanden McMullen, Emma Tarbath and Anna Fake each placed in the top ten of their respective races to lift the Bobcats to a fourth-place team finish at the Denver Invitational on Sunday at Maloit Park.
MINTURN, Colo. – Montana State's Zanden McMullen, Emma Tarbath and Anna Fake each placed in the top ten of their respective races to lift the Bobcats to a fourth-place team finish at the Denver Invitational on Sunday at Maloit Park.
McMullen placed sixth in the men's 10km freestyle pursuit with a time of 56:58.7, while teammates Eli Jensen, 17th, 58:48.8, and Eli Hermanson, 27th, 1:02:38.5 also produced points for the Bobcats.
Colorado's Magnus Boee won the event in 55:11.3.
Tarbath, a senior from Anchorage, Alaska, finished seventh overall in the 7.5km women's race in a clocking of 40:06.8, while Fake placed tenth in 40:26.7.
Also scoring for MSU was Aubrey Leclair, 19th, 42:05.5. Kat O'Connell finished second behind Leclair in a clocking of 42:39.6.
Guro Jordheim of Utah captured the women's race in 38:31.6.
Utah won the DU Invitational with 708 points. The Utes were followed by Colorado 628, Denver 520, MSU 518, Alaska Anchorage 465, Westminster 288, Alaska Fairbanks 201 and Colorado Mountain 152.
