Cats building stable of young, talented offensive linemen
BOZEMAN, Montana – Dylan Porter, an offensive lineman from the University of Nevada, has transferred to Montana State, head coach Jeff Choate said.
Porter (6-5, 300 lbs) joins the Bobcats as a sophomore with three years of eligibility. He redshirted at Nevada in 2017 before playing one game last season. Originally from Elmira, Oregon, he earned first team all-league honors on the offensive defensive lines, and was second team on the offensive line twice and on the defensive line once. He was named the school's Individual Athlete of the Year in 2017, and was a Community Hero of Veneta.
"Dylan is a big, strong young man who we believe will fit well into our program's culture," Choate said. "We're building a stable of young offensive linemen that give us quality depth this season and will be the foundation of our program in future seasons. Dylan will compete for playing time this year and is a good building block for us."
