McCarthy Captures UAA Invitational Slalom Title

Montana State senior Jocelyn McCarthy returned to form winning the University of Alaska-Anchorage slalom title on Saturday afternoon at Alyeska Resort.
GIRDWOOD, Alaska – Montana State senior Jocelyn McCarthy returned to form winning the University of Alaska-Anchorage slalom title on Saturday afternoon at Alyeska Resort.
McCarthy posted a two-run total of 1:35.90. Her 49.79 was the fastest second run of the day. Also notching points for MSU was Mia Henry, who placed 13th in 1:40.86.
Åge Solheim guided the Montana State men's team finishing tenth with a two-run total of 1:35.22. Denver's Simon Fournier won the slalom title in 1:32.68.
Also contributing to the Bobcats attack were Florian Szwebel, 13th, 1:35.60, and Patrick Carry, 18th, 1:36.44. Senior Morten Bakke did not finish his first run.
Utah won the UAA Invitational team title with 638 points. The Utes were followed by DU 598.5, Colorado 585, New Mexico 508.5, UAA 449, MSU 349, Alaska Fairbanks 195, Westminster 182, and Colorado Mountain 64.
