Montana State hosts a Homecoming game for the 85th time on record
Bobcats from far and near gather for Homecoming today in Bozeman, and the Cats snapped a two-game losing streak on Homecoming a season ago with a 24-23 victory against Idaho. Montana State is 55-27-3 all-time on Homecoming, with the first such game on record occurring in 1923. The Cats have faced Sacramento State three times for Homecoming – a 31-21 win in 2011, a 20-0 win in frigid conditions in 2001, and a 37-30 victory in 1993.

Another week brings another mixed bag of injury news for Bobcat fans. Running back Isaiah Ifanse is doubtful for today's game after playing in the first three quarters a week ago. On the other side of the line of scrimmage, today's game could mark the 2019 debut of cornerback Greg Filer III, who was injured during the preseason.

Speaking of mixed bags, anyone who has attended every Bobcat contest this season has seen about everything possible in terms of weather. The team's three road games have kicked off with temperatures of 99 degrees, 82 degrees, and 74 degrees. At home, Montana State has kicked off at 65 degrees, 50 degrees, and 39 degrees.

One person on Montana State's sideline today spent last season across the field for Homecoming. Bobby Daly, now MSU's linebackers coach and a former Bobcat All-America himself, coached Idaho's linebackers during the Bobcat Homecoming win a season ago. This year he celebrates in the Blue and Gold, and also on hand will be his brother Brad Daly, who won the 2013 Buck Buchanan Award as the top defensive player in the FCS, and his wife Maggie, a former Bobcat trackster. Bobby and Brad's father J. was a also a Bobcat All-America.
