Montana State Represented by 54 on 2018 Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team

The Bobcats took up 54 spots on the Big Sky's final all-academic team of the 2017-18 athletic year
OGDEN, Utah – The Big Sky Conference announced its 2018 Spring All-Academic Team to round out academic honors for the school year on Monday, July 2. The conference had a total of 637 student-athletes recognized for the spring season.
"I'd like to congratulate all of our spring student-athletes for their hard work and academic success," said Big Sky Conference Commissioner Andrea Williams. "Our student-athletes have continued to demonstrate their commitment and motivation to succeed in their respective sport, as well as in the classroom. They are competing a high level nationally, while performing well academically."
Montana State had 54 student-athletes honored as all-academic selections. The Bobcats' average student-athlete GPA was 3.19 following the spring semester. Eighty-three student-athletes were named to their respective Dean's Lists and 55 Bobcats achieved all A's and A-'s.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team's competitions. A student-athlete in track and field would be eligible if he/she competed at the outdoor conference championships. 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term. 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution.
