Senior tight end cited for community service commitment
BOZEMAN, Montana – Wilson Brott's commitment to community service took him halfway across the globe this spring. Wednesday, his work resulted in the Montana State senior's nomination for the AFCA Allstate Good Works team.
The Good Works team honors student-athletes from across college football for community service activity. Brott was one of 99 players nominated from the FCS, NCAA Divisions II and II, and NAIA in college football, and one of 169 nominated in all. Brott is one of only two players nominated from the state of Montana and three from the Big Sky Conference.
Known for his blocking ability, Brott, a tight end from Billings, traveled to Poland this spring with several Bobcat teammates to build a house for a family in need. He has also coached youth football clinics, volunteered as a guest reader at a Bozeman elementary school, and helped in several other local activities, including Montana Special Olympics.
The final roster of 22 student-athletes will be unveiled in September.
