Bobcat Football Team Adds Two Recruits

MSU shores up secondary, adds young quarterback
BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State shored up both its offense and defense on Thursday, signing financial aid agreements to join the Bobcat football program.
Jahcque Alleyne, a defensive back at Virginia Tech in 2015-16, is a 6-1, 180 product of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He played in 16 games over two seasons with the Hokies, logging four tackles as a freshman in 2015 and one in four games in 2016. Alleyne was a three-star recruit at Ocean Lakes High School. "Jahcque played both safety and corner in high school so he has versatility," said Bobcat coach Jeff Choate. "He was highly-recruited out of high school, but he left the Hokies after the coaching change (when Frank Beamer retired), and he's worked hard to get himself into position to contribute to the Bobcats. He'll provide immediate depth and competition in the defensive backfield."
Ruben Beltran is a 6-0, 180 lb quarterback from Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona. As a senior, he led his team to a state championship. "Ruben is a competitor with a high football IQ," Choate said. "He will join us with a chip on his shoulder and is eager to compete at the quarterback position right away."
