Bobcat Skier Andersen Named to Google Cloud Academic All-District VII At-Large First-Team

Nordic skier Noah Andersen, a senior from Bozeman, was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District VII At-Large First-Team for his efforts on the trails and classroom this season.
Nordic skier Noah Andersen, a senior from Bozeman, was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District VII At-Large First-Team for his efforts on the trails and classroom this season.
The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's At-Large team, selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America), recognizes student-athletes participating in the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. District VII encompasses NCAA Division I schools in Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
Andersen, who also garnered the academic accolade in 2017, posted three top 20 finishes in Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association action this winter. He registered a season-best 12th place showing in freestyle at US Nationals and was 14th-overall in classic at the Denver Invitational. Andersen finished the season ranked 21st in the RMISA point standings. He posted a 3.96 grade-point average in mechanical engineering.
As a junior, he was a NCAA Skiing Championship qualifier and placed 29th in freestyle at the national meet. In addition, Andersen is a four-time USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team selection.
Along with Andersen, named to the District VII First-Team were Dylan Abood, hockey, Air Force; Enrique Asmar, tennis, New Mexico State; Stijn de Haan, tennis, New Mexico State; William Edin, tennis, Idaho State; Linus Erhart, tennis, Nebraska; Kyle Haak, hockey, Air Force; Brooks Kendall, tennis, Creighton; Logan Powell, tennis, Lamar; and Brian Schibler, gymnastics, Oklahoma.

CoSIDA began the distinguished Academic All-America® program in 1952, and since then, has honored thousands of deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America® scholar-athlete honors.
