Bobcat Men Dominate Podium at Utah Invitational

MSU recorded 89 points to top all men’s teams in giant slalom.
The one-two punch of Addison Dvoracek and Morten Bakke placed second and third, respectively, to guide the Montana State alpine squad at the University of Utah Invitational in giant slalom, Friday afternoon at Snowbasin.
Dvoracek posted a two-run total of 2:12.88, while Bakke notched a clocking of 2:13.18. Bakke had the fastest time in the opening run. Rounding out MSU's scoring was Jeffrey Bell, who placed 13th in 2:14.00.
MSU recorded 89 points to top all men's teams in giant slalom.
The Montana State women competed in giant slalom on Thursday. Senior Benni Lyche led the squad finishing eighth with a two-run total of 2:25.99. She was followed by Kari Hole, 12th, 2:26.54, and Mia Henry, 16th, 2:27.59.
Denver sits atop the team standings with 176 points, followed by MSU 145.5, Utah 138.5, Colorado 116, New Mexico 116, Westminster 113, Alaska-Anchorage 92 and Colorado Mountain College 25.
The alpine portion of the Utah Invitational will finish on Saturday with the slalom events.
In addition, the Bobcat Nordic teams will compete in the MSU Invitational on Saturday in West Yellowstone. The 5/10-kilometer classic races will be featured on Saturday, with the 10K freestyle on Sunday. Races will be held at Rendezvous Trails.
