Mac Bignell Earns Preseason All-Big Sky Honors

The designation is Bignell's second
Senior linebacker Mac Bignell was named to the Preseason All-Big Sky team by conference media members, the league announced Monday during its annual Summer Kickoff.
Bignell, a second team all-league choice last year, was the only Bobcat selected. He led the team with 97 tackles and 14.5 for a loss last season, forcing and recovering two fumbles. His two most impressive games statistically came against the teams that shared the league title, as he registered a career-high 15 tackles against Eastern Washington, and had 11 against Eastern Washington.
"In a lot of ways Mac epitomizes our program," said Bobcat coach Jeff Choate. "He is from a small Montana high school, has strong Bobcat bloodlines, doesn't impress you a ton in the measurable but he's tough and smart and plays hard. He leads by example. I think he's been a little underestimated in his time at MSU, and I look forward to watching his senior season."
