Fox Named Senior Associate AD, Highlights Bobcat Administrative Additions

Casey Fox joins MSU's senior staff and highlights seven new members of the Montana State Athletics administrative staff
BOZEMAN, Mont. – Casey Fox, who has risen to progressively greater levels of responsibility in his 11 years at Washington State University, has become Montana State's Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development, Bobcat Director of Athletics Leon Costello announced Thursday, June 22.
One of seven new appointments in Bobcat Athletics, Fox assumes leadership duties in the department's revenue generation and communications efforts. Most recently he served as the Director of Development for Washington State's Foundation (2014-present). Previously he worked in Cougar Athletics as the Director of Marketing (2006-12) and as Assistant Athletic Director for Development (2012-14).
A graduate of Oregon (BS, Political Science, 1998) and Eastern Washington (MS, Physical Education, 2000), Fox also worked as Utah's Director of Marketing (2004-06) and as Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions at the U.S. Naval Academy (2001-04). He served as a graduate assistant at Eastern Washington (1998-2000).
"Casey has a vast background in fund-raising and marketing," Costello said, "including over 14 years in intercollegiate athletics. His experience will enable him to jump in and hit the ground running in an area that we're trying to enhance and expand."
Costello also announced the addition of six other Bobcat Athletics staff members. "I'm very excited about filling out our team," he said. "The new staff members not only enhance their respective areas, but filling these positions allows the current staff to refocus on their specific areas."
Taylor Hall joins Bobcat Athletics as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance after two years as Compliance Coordinator at The Citadel. He helped in NCAA and Southern Conference rules interpretations while serving as a liaison with several internal institutional constituencies in the areas of recruiting and eligibility, all while completing his Juris Doctor degree at the Charleston School of Law. Hall graduated from Georgia with a BA in Political Science in 2014.
Alex Jardine joins the MSU Strength and Conditioning staff as Assistant Strength Coach. A 2012 graduate of Colorado (BA, Integrated Physiology) who earned his master's degree from South Dakota State in 2016 (MS, Exercise Science), he comes to MSU from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, where he worked as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach since June, 2016. He worked with track and field, basketball, soccer, golf and cheer student-athletes. Jardine previously worked as a graduate assistant at South Dakota State (May, 2014 to June, 2016), as a Sports Performance Intern at Colorado (October, 2012 to May, 2014), and as a Personal Trainer for the CU Student Recreation Center (2013-14 academic year). He is certified by the College Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, the National Strength & Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting, and by the American Red Cross for CPR/AED.
The hiring of Justin Jessop as Director of Equipment Operations extends his 15-year relationship with Bobcat Athletics. He was an MSU track and field student-athlete from 2002-04, and served as MSU's Interim Equipment Manager since last September and also in 2010-11. He also has experience as an equipment intern with the San Diego Chargers (2009), and as a track coach at Huntley Project (2009-13) and Bozeman (2007-09) high schools.
Scott Smith joins the Bobcat equipment staff as Assistant Director of Equipment Operations, arriving after working as a seasonal equipment assistant for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016-17. He also worked as Head Student Equipment Manager (2009-2016) at Georgia Southern, where he earned his BA in General Studies in 2016.
Scottie Moler comes to the Bobcat Academic Services staff as Athletic Academic Coordinator after working as Student-Athlete Learning Services Coordinator at Minnesota since September, 2016. At Minnesota, he coordinated student-athlete tutors and study hall services for the Gophers, mentored freshmen to help prepare for academic success and helped advise the women's track squad. Previously, he worked as an athletic compliance volunteer at Angelo State (January to May, 2015) and as an athletic compliance intern at Missouri State (August to December, 2013). Moler earned his BS degree in Recreation, Sport, and Park Administration from Missouri State in 2013, and his ME in Coaching, Sport, Recreation and Fitness from Angelo State in 2015.
Molly Somerville joined MSU Athletics this spring as an Administrative Associate III, working in support of the volleyball and men's and women's basketball programs, and the business office. She has experience with education outreach and management in South Dakota, Chicago and Helena since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Augustana (South Dakota) with a BA in Theatre in 2009.
