Bobcat Athletics Add Two Former Standout Student-Athletes, Athletic Trainer

Cole Moore and Jen Allen return to MSU
Two outstanding former Bobcat student-athletes and an athletic trainer with local ties joined the Bobcat Athletics staff, Montana State Director of Athletics Leon Costello announced Thursday.
Jen Allen becomes an assistant track and field coach, with responsibility in throws. Cole Moore, a standout linebacker for the Cats, is the football program's new administrative associate. Justin Halvorson takes over as the primary track and field athletic trainer.
Allen, a 2004 Montana State graduate, has coached throwers at Manhattan (Montana) High School since 2011. Originally from Billings, she earned national all-academic honors three times and three Big Sky titles (shot put indoors and outdoors in 2004, weight throw indoors in 2004). Allen remains the Bobcat record-holder in the indoor shot put and discus, and was a key point-scorer on two Big Sky Championship squads.
After arriving at MSU as a walk-on in the fall of 2010, Moore, a New Jersey native became a key special teams contributor as a redshirt freshman and then started his final 38 games at linebacker. He earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a junior, was Third Team All-Big Sky as a senior, and was selected to the FCS Athletic Directors Association All-Scholar Team as a senior. His teammates elected Moore as a captain in 2014.
Halvorson, originally from Belgrade, comes to MSU after completing his master's degree in Athletic Training at Montana in May, gaining experience with several high school and college athletic squads while in Missoula. He earned his bachelor's degree from Black Hills State in 2014. The former Belgrade Bandits standout began his college career at Sioux Falls.
