Homecoming 2016 should be a colorful contest
September stands to be even more colorful than usual in Bobcat Stadium.
The first Stripe Bobcat Stadium game is set for Homecoming on September 24 against North Dakota. Fans will be asked to wear colors based on their seating section to give the Stadium a striped appearance. Spectators that sit in sections 102, 104, 106, 110, 112, 114-116, 118, 122, 124-125 are asked to wear BLUE. All students, 108-09, 101, 103, 105, 107, 111, 113, 117, 119-121, 123 are asked to wear GOLD.
Each of MSU's six 2016 home games bear special promotional designations this season. The NAU game on October 8 is Band Day, with high school bands invited to participate with the Spirit of the West Marching Band.
Two opportunities to help Bobcat Athletics honor special fans arise in November. The annual Cap on Cancer game is October 22, when the Cats host Eastern Washington. Fans are invited to wear pink, and information will be available at msubobcats.com to nominate a cancer survivor or support/medical personnel for a free game ticket. Fans also have the opportunity to nominate active or retired military personnel for a free game ticket against UC Davis on November 12, which is Military Appreciation Day as well as Senior Day, when the team's departing seniors are honored.
Season and single-game football tickets remain for 2016, when the Cats face three foes ranked in the FCS preseason poll. For information, visit msubobcats.com or call 406/994-CATS (2287).
