
Four Bobcat Skiers Earn All-RMISA Honors

Four Montana State skiers garnered All-Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association honors for their efforts this winter. The RMISA puts five members on first and second teams in both alpine and Nordic disciplines.
Four Montana State skiers garnered All-Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association honors for their efforts this winter. The RMISA puts five members on first and second teams in both alpine and Nordic disciplines.
MSU senior Cambria McDermott was the only Bobcat to earn First-Team All-RIMSA recognition. McDermott, a product of Putney, Vermont, had six top five performances on the season, including a runner-up finish at the Colorado Invitational in freestyle. McDermott garnered All-America honors at last year's NCAA Skiing Championships.
Named to the Second-Team All-RMISA squads were Sawyer Kesselheim, Nordic, Benedicte Lyche, alpine, and David Neuhauser, alpine.
Kesselheim, a graduate of Bozeman High, recorded eight top 10 finishes, including four top five outings. His best performance of the winter came at the MSU Invitational, where he placed third in freestyle.
Lyche, a sophomore from Oslo, Norway, posted six top 10 finishes. Last weekend, she captured the RMISA/NCAA West Regional giant slalom title – a first for the Bobcat women's team. Lyche also received Second-Team All-America kudos last winter.
Neuhauser, a junior from Brandenberg, Austria, registered three top 10 finishes, including a third place showing at the MSU Invitational in slalom. A three-time NCAA qualifier, Neuhauser garnered Second-Team All-America honors at last year's NCAA Championships.
The 2016 NCAA Skiing Championships will be March 9-12 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
