Mitchell Herbert Earns Academic All-District Honors

Bobcat junior lands academic honor
Montana State receiver Mitchell Herbert was named CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Thursday.
A junior from Eugene, Oregon, Herbert leads the Bobcats with 21 catches, 335 receiving yards and a pair of touchdown receptions. Herbert has accounted for 24% of Montana State's receiving yards and accounts for 20% of the team's completed passes and touchdown catches this season.
A cell biology and neuroscience major, Herbert has excelled academically throughout his time at MSU. His cumulative grade point average of 3.77 resides far above the 3.30 minimum. District 7 is comprised of schools from Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
Landing on the All-District team qualifies student-athletes to be considered for Academic All-America honors. Those selections will be made later in November. More information is available at www.cosida.com.
