Kalispell product leads Cats to win in Missoula Saturday
Montana State linebacker Josh Hill said goodbye to his freshman season in fine fashion Monday, earning ROOT Sports Big Sky Conference Player of the Week honors as well as a STATS FCS Honorable Mention Freshman of the Week award.
Hill helped lead a punishing Bobcat defensive effort in Saturday's 24-17 win over Montana in Missoula. Hill logged eight tackles while intercepting his second pass of the season and forcing his first fumble. The eight tackles was his second-highest total of the season. Hill's effort paced a relentless Bobcat defense that allowed UM's offense very little traction. Montana State held the Grizzlies to 195 yards and 24 points below their season averages in logging the program's third win in Missoula in the last four visits.
The Bobcats finish the season 4-7 overall, 2-6 in Big Sky play.
