The Montana State men’s ski team found tough going on Wednesday afternoon in the giant slalom at the University of Utah Invitational at Park City Mountain Resort.

Freshman Jeff Bell was the only Bobcat to finish the race and score points. The product of Airdrie, Alberta finished 32nd overall in a two-run clocking of 2:04.71.
David Neuhauser, Garret Driller, Morten Bakke and Andrew Kircher did not finish their first runs, while Michael Radford did not start the second run.
Ola Johansen of Colorado won the men's giant slalom title in 1:51.20.
The tough outing drops Montana State from third to sixth in the team standings. Denver leads the Utah Invite with 320 points, followed by Colorado 318, Utah 268, Westminster 258, New Mexico 214, MSU 202, Alaska Anchorage 179 and Colorado Mountain College 73.
The Nordic races will be held Jan. 10-11 at Soldier Hollow Resort in Midway, Utah.
