Dakota Prukop Continues to Gather Preseason Honors

Bobcat quarterback lands on another preseason watch list
Montana State quarterback Dakota Prukop leads a group of three Big Sky Conference standouts on the College Football Performance Awards 2015 FCS Performer of the Year Trophy Watch List, announced by CFPA on Monday.
Prukop, who has already earned Preseason All-Big Sky and Third Team STATS Preseason All-America this summer, returns as one of the most productive quarterbacks in the FCS for the 2015 season. The junior from Austin, Tex., compiled 3,525 total yards a season ago in 11 games, leading the Bobcats to a playoff berth in his first season as a starter.
A pair of league rivals join Prukop among the 32 players on the CFPA list. Cal Poly quarterback Chris Brown and Idaho State running back Xavier Finney each lead explosive and experienced offenses, and each square off against the Bobcats in 2015. Other notables on the list include Villanova quarterback John Roberts, last year's Walter Payton Award winner as the top offensive player in the FCS, and the nation's leading rusher a year ago Marshaun Coprich of Illinois State.
The Bobcats open the season September 3 at 7:05 pm against Fort Lewis.
