The 2nd Annual Movie Night with the Bobcats will Feature The Sandlot
6/8/2015 11:56:00 AM | General
After a successful inaugural movie night in 2014, Bobcat Athletics is pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Movie Night with the Bobcats will take place on August, 4. The event is free of charge, in addition to free parking at the stadium. Fans can enter through the north entrances of Bobcat Stadium.
This year, fans were able to vote for their favorite flick to be featured on the Bobcat Stadium video board. After a close race between a handful of movies, the Bobcats are happy to announce The Sandlot will be showing this year. Doors will open at 6 p.m., with the movie beginning at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to bring blankets, as seating is on the turf, but chairs of any kind are prohibited. ADA access is available.
The Sandlot is a classic coming of age story, about a young boy, Scottie Smalls, who moves to a new neighborhood. He manages to make friends with a group of young baseball players who play at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventues. The boys run into some trouble with Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over the fence. Join us on August 4th to watch Smalls and the gang in this light-hearted comedy.
"We're excited to bring the community back to Bobcat Stadium for a second movie night," athletic director Peter Fields said. "We know fans of all ages will enjoy this movie! This is a great opportunity for anyone who doesn't normally attend football games to enjoy this facility."
Popcorn and water will be available for purchase, but no outside food or beverages will be allowed in order to keep the field protected. In addition, no pets will be allowed into the facility. Fans may use the hashtag #bobcatmovienight on all social media platforms.
Make a memory with your family and friends and join us for the 2nd Annual Movie Night with the Bobcats.
