Long-Time Bobcat Football Assistant Jason McEndoo Headed to Oklahoma State

McEndoo leaves legacy of success at MSU
The longest and most decorated assistant coaching tenure in Bobcat football history ended Thursday, when Jason McEndoo accepted a coaching position with Oklahoma State.
Montana State's offensive line coach since 2003, McEndoo was part of five Big Sky Conference Championship teams at MSU, and coached seven All-Americas and 11 First Team All-Big Sky selections. Included in those lists are Jeff Bolton, an All-America center who earned the 2005 Rimington Award as the nation's top Division I-AA player at that position, and Mike Person, a seventh round choice in the 2011 NFL Draft who played for the St. Louis Rams last season.
"Mac has been a powerful influence on my coaching staffs since arriving in this state," said Bobcat coach Rob Ash. "He has been an incredible recruiter and an outstanding technician with our offensive linemen. He is also one of the finest game-day adjusters of any coach I have ever seen. He is a man of character and has imparted that standard to all his player. We will greatly miss Coach Mac."
McEndoo forged the offensive line into a leadership hub of the Bobcat program during its longest sustained period of success. In his 12 seasons at MSU, the former All-Pac 10 offensive lineman (1997) and Washington State graduate (1998) generated at least one team captain 10 times. He was the 2011 AFCA Assistant Coach of the Year, and said that he and his family leave amazing memories of their time in Bozeman.
Said McEndoo: "We are honored to have spent such an amazing time here at Montana State University. Over the last 12 years my family and I have had a tremendous experience and truly loved our time in Bozeman. I have enormous respect for the student athletes I've had the pleasure to coach at Montana State University. Their work ethic and passion to win come through every day and it was an inspiration to me. I am forever indebted to ALL of my players over the years. They have taught me so much. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing coaches, MSU staff members, strength coaches, trainers and support staff. Peter Fields has been a wonderful supporter and mentor. Coach Ash gave me an opportunity to remain on his staff. I am forever grateful to the people of Montana, boosters, fans, terrific student athletes and our family and friends in Bozeman. I am equally excited about the new opportunity to contribute to the success of Oklahoma State University Football. They have a Championship legacy that I am proud to join. Coach Gundy shows passion for winning and true competition, I couldn't be more excited to align my talents with him and his staff."
