Peter Fields Announces that Rob Ash will Step Away from Bobcat Football Program

Montana State Director of Athletics Peter Fields announced Monday that Rob Ash will no longer lead the Bobcat program after completing his ninth season last Saturday.
Montana State Director of Athletics Peter Fields announced Monday that Rob Ash will no longer lead the Bobcat program after completing his ninth season last Saturday.
"I met with Coach Ash this morning and decided that Rob will step away from the football program," Fields said. "I want to thank him for all he's done for the Bobcat football program."
Ash finished his career at MSU 70-38, the most wins in school history. He led MSU to shares of Big Sky titles in 2010, '11 and '12, advancing to the FCS Playoffs in each of those seasons as well as 2014. The last three years, MSU was 20-16 overall and 14-10 in Big Sky play. His career record is 246-137-5.
Fields indicated the search for Ash's replacement begins immediately.
