A look at how some MSU assistants will evaluate today's limited scrimmage
Saturday marks the first opportunity for the Bobcat football team to don full pads and, therefore, engage in full contact. The occasion sent a jolt of excitement through Bobcat camp on Saturady morning, and here is a look at how several members of MSU's coaching staff will evaluate the proceedings...
ROB ASH, Head Coach: "No injuries." <nervous laughter>
JAMIE MARSHALL, Defensive Coordinator: "I want to see great effort. I want to see great hustle, enthusiasm. I want to see us put ourselves in position to make tackles. Today is about becoming great tacklers."
TIM CRAMSEY, Offensive Coordinator: "Today is a personnel day. We want to put guys in situations where they can make plays, and see if they can. So from that standpoint it's about personnel and evaluating the position battles we still have."
DANIEL DaPRATO, Tight Ends and Special Teams Coordinator: "I want to see great tempo from the offense. From special teams, I want to get a good evaluation of our specialists. We'll do a pretty good amount of kicking today."
BO BECK, Defensive Line Coach: "Finish plays, no busted assignments, and play fast. That's what we want to get done today."
BRANDON NORTH, Secondary coach: "Great technique!"
The live segments (limited scrimmage) of today's practice begin around 10:45 am. The practice is in Bobcat Stadium.
