MSU Football Offers CPR Training After Saturday's Scrimmage

Bobcats team with Gallatin Heart Rescue
The Bobcat football team and Gallatin Heart Rescue will conduct hands-only CPR training Saturday in Bobcat Stadium following Montana State's Sonny Holland Spring Scrimmage.
Kickoff for the scrimmage is set for 10:30 am, and is scheduled for 40 plays or so. The announcement of 2014 team captains and 2013 winter and spring award winners, along with some kicking situations, will also take place.
The Gallatin Heart Rescue is a collaborative project aimed at improving bystander CPR response to sudden cardiac arrest, and was formed after the procedure was performed in July, 2011, to life-saving effect. Following the 2011 Sonny Holland Spring Scrimmage, MSU football players helped train over 300 Bobcat fans. Bobcat players will be trained in the procedure by Gallatin Valley EMS members and local nurses, and will join more than 13,000 Montanans trained in hands-only CPR.
"This is a tremendous project, and Bobcat Football is proud to be involved," Bobcat head coach Rob Ash said. The scrimmage is free and open to the public. To learn more visit www.gallatinheartrescue.com.
