Dakota Prukop Lands Second Straight Big Sky Weekly Award

MSU signal caller nabs honor after second straight historic performance
Dakota Prukop capped his second straight historic weekend with his second straight Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Week award on Monday.
A sophomore from Austin, Tex., Prukop rolled up 509 yards of total offense, the third-best mark in school history, in leading Montana State to a 77-37 road win over UC Davis. The first-year starter was 17-for-22 passing for 361 yards and four touchdowns, rushing for 148 yards on 14 carries with two scores. He led the team on touchdown drives in all five of MSU's first-half possessions in Saturday's victory, and his six total touchdowns responsible for was the second-best mark in school history, after his eight TDs the week before.
Prukop's career as MSU's starting quarterback is also off to a historic start. In his first seven games, he has posted two of Montana State's top four single-game total offense efforts ever. He is nearing the school's career top 10 lists in passing and total offense. Prukop's selection is his second in a row, and marks the fifth time and fourth consecutive week a Bobcat has earned weekly kudos from the conference.
