A quick look at a Bobcat Hall of Famer
Every day we look at players who donned the jersey number corresponding to the number of days until the Bobcats open the 2013 season on August 29 against Monmouth. The list of MSU football players by the jersey number is based on preseason rosters. The set of available rosters is complete from 1946-81 and '83-present. Only the 1926-27, 1934, 1937 and 1941 rosters are available in the pre-WWII years. Corrections, additions, or rosters that fill out the set are welcome to blamberty@msubobcats.com.

Spotlight Player: Jim Argeris harkens back to a time when football and sports were quite different. First, there is his stature. At 6-1, 190, Jim Argeris would be an average-sized receiver or running back in the Big Sky Conference, but in the early '50s Argeris was an All-America and All-RMC center for the Cats. More importantly, though, he was highly-heralded when moving before the 1954 season from guard to "snapper-back". And, he was known as a "grinning scrapper" and later dubbed "The Grinning Greek". On the field, Argeris was an agile, athletic player who is a recent inductee into the Bobcat Athletic Hall of Fame.
