Chad Gluhm's burst off the edge led to a terrific career as a Bobcat D-end
Every day we look at players who donned the jersey number corresponding to the number of days until the Bobcats open the 2013 season on August 29 against Monmouth. The list of MSU football players by the jersey number is based on preseason rosters. The set of available rosters is complete from 1946-81 and '83-present. Only the 1926-27, 1934, 1937 and 1941 rosters are available in the pre-WWII years. Corrections, additions, or rosters that fill out the set are welcome to blamberty@msubobcats.com.

Cody Vitt, RB: Cody Vitt comes to MSU this fall as Class C superstar, leading Fairview to an 11-1 record last year with 1,507 yards rushing and 346 receiving. Vitt is cast as a power back on his way into the Bobcat program. He could compete for a spot in the backfield this year.
Spotlight Player: It may have taken Chad Gluhm to find a home in the Bobcat football program but once he moved from linebacker to defensive end in 2003 there was no stopping him. His 7.5 tackles for loss that season was fourth-best on the team in spite of limited playing time. A special teams ace through his first two seasons in the program, that junior season and the 2004 campaign that followed boosted the Park City HS grad to Honorable Mention All-Big Sky honors his senior season. Coaches always said that they liked Gluhm's 'motor', and as a true champion of small-school players he was like a guided missile on the field. He finished his career with 14.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
Through the Years: Ray Ball (1926), Russell Wills (1937), John Barrow (1941), Charles Masten (1946-49), Ray Gallik (1950), Bill Roney (1953), Chuck Peters (1954), Greg Dufek (1955), Bob Rudio (1956), Don Brinkman(1958), Jim McLeod (1957, '59), Steve Good (1960-61), Jim Wilson (1963), Dale Haver (1966), Earl Hanson (1966-67), Dean Winder (1968-69),Brad Brisbin (1971-73), Greg Wiggs (1975-77), Tim Sturdevant (1978-81), Clete Linebarger (1982), Shane Quilling (1983), Bob Burney (1984), Shane Quilling (1984-87), Mike Liebelt (1988), Felton Maxie (1989), Clint Morton (1990-94), Cedric Cooper (1995-98), Phil Wright (1999), Chad Gluhm (2000-04), Cody Kendall (2005), Kevin Ah-Hi (2006), Trenton Thelen (2007-08), Dalton Bright (2009), Donald Tudahl (2010-12)
