A look at Quinn Catalano with 79 days remaining until
Every day we look at players who donned the jersey number corresponding to the number of days until the Bobcats open the 2013 season on August 29 against Monmouth. The list of MSU football players by the jersey number is based on preseason rosters. The set of available rosters is complete from 1946-81 and '83-present. Only the 1926-27, 1934, 1937 and 1941 rosters are available in the pre-WWII years. Corrections, additions, or rosters that fill out the set are welcome to blamberty@msubobcats.com.

Quinn Catalano, OG: Quinn Catalano enters his junior season as Montana State's starting right guard. Probably. If not, he may be a starting tackle. And he even spent some time at center during the spring, underscoring versatility among his many strengths. Catalano earned Honorable Mention All-Big Sky honors last fall, starting all 13 games and serving as an extremely positive influence on an offensive line which featured seniors at two spots but new players at two others. He gave Bobcat games a glimpse of things to come as a redshirt freshman in 2011, when he played left tackle on MSU's lone touchdown drive at Utah, and all but the first drive in an impressive offensive performance at Northern Colorado. Catalano has the opportunity to be one of the Big Sky's best guards in the next two seasons.
Through the years: Chuck Klunder (1956), Kayo Trepanier (1966), Kerry Pickett (1970), Wally Bailey (1971), Jim Boyle (1972-74), Mark Sullivan (1975), John Beach (1976), Jay Jackman (1977-80), Tate Kopp (1982), Tim Northway (1983-84), Robert Kowalski (1985-87), Mike Burns (1988-89), Dave Dukart (1992), James Hoskins (1993), Justin Marthaller (1994-96), Josh Leigh (1998-2000), Kimball Bowden (2001-02), Adam DeCock (2003-06), Michael Erickson (2007-09), Quinn Catalano (2010-)
