Bobcats Host Southern Utah Saturday

Two 7-3 squads meet in Bobcat Stadium
Two 7-3 teams with playoff aspirations and a now-or-never urgency collide in Bobcat Stadium Saturday when Montana State hosts Southern Utah, a team which is somehow unranked. The classic matchup pits the Thunderbirds' stifling defense against a Bobcat offense that produced 504 yards and 30 first downs at Eastern Washington last week. SUU's stop unit is built on a versatile and productive linebacker trio, rangy and athletic linemen, and one of the league's top secondaries. Frosh quarterback Mike Sharp is growing into his new starting role as SUU battles through a rash of offensive injuries. The Bobcat defense looks to rally after last week's 594-yard, 54-point explosion by third-ranked EWU.
