The Montana State University Alumni Foundation and Bobcat Athletics have announced a new promotion for the 2012 Bobcat Football season. The MSU Alumni Association Kickoff Kid promotion will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Bobcat fans aged 4-12, whose parents are members of the MSU Alumni Association.
Ahead of every regular season home football game, one lucky child will be chosen to be the MSU Alumni Association Kickoff Kid. As the Kickoff Kid, each child will receive a team jersey, four tickets to the game, field access during warm-ups, the opportunity to stand alongside Bobcat football players for the coin toss and on-field recognition before kickoff.
“Bobcat football games give our alumni a great reason to come back to campus every fall, which is why we have been a sponsor of Bobcat Athletics for 7 years,” said Kerry Hanson, director of alumni relations for the MSU Alumni Foundation. “This year, we wanted to do something a little more fun and family-friendly. Sponsoring the Kickoff Kid seemed like a great way to do that.”
Peter Fields, Director of Athletics for Bobcat Athletics, added, “We are thrilled to have the MSU Alumni Association as the title sponsor of our Kickoff Kid program. Similar youth-oriented promotions have become very popular among college and NFL teams, and we look forward to adding this initiative to our football game day.”
MSU Alumni Association members are encouraged to register their children, aged 4-12, at alumni.montana.edu/kickoffkid or in-person at the MSU Alumni Foundation Center, across the street from the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. Only one entry is allowed per child. The first selection will be made Thursday August 23. All entries will remain in the pool throughout the season.
