Bobcat Ski Standout Reinking Named Capital One Academic All District Men's At-Large First-Team

For the second consecutive year, Montana State Nordic ski standout Tyler Reinking has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Men’s At-Large First-Team.
For the second consecutive year, Montana State Nordic ski standout Tyler Reinking has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Men's At-Large First-Team. His name will now move on to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors- the nation's highest academic accolade awarded to collegiate athletes.
This winter, Reinking earned All-America Second-Team honors after placing tenth in the freestyle at the 2012 NCAA Skiing Championship. It was the second All-America accolade of his career. The native of Silverthorne, Colo., had five top 5 finishes on the season and placed third at the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Associate/NCAA West Region championships in February. Reinking finished fourth overall in the RMISA MVP race and was fifth overall in NCAA qualifying points.
Reinking sports a 3.98 grade-point average in exercise and nutrition sciences.
Also earning first-team all-district VII honors were Cody Deacon, Air Force, Tucker Lane, Nebraska, Josh Ihnen, Nebraska, Cheyne Hermes, Texas A&M, Andreas Haug, Colorado, Vlad Bondarenko, Oklahoma State, Armin Triendl, New Mexico, Kyle Milberg, Denver, Dylan Fritteli, Texas, and Nathan Robinson, Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District ® Men's At-Large Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.
The men's at-large area includes tennis, water polo, golf, gymnastics, skiing, lacrosse, fencing, hockey, rifle, wrestling, swimming and volleyball. District VII encompasses Division I institutions from Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas.
