McBroom and Owsley Pace Bobcat Alpine Skiers at UAA Invite

Kelly McBroom recorded a 13th place showing in the women’s giant slalom event at the University of Alaska Anchorage Invitational, Wednesday afternoon to pace the Bobcat ski team. McBroom had a two-run total of 2:00.00 to garner 27 points.

She was followed in MSU's top three by Terra Moran, 18th, 2:00.73, and Jacqueline Lebel, 26th, 2:05.81.
Colorado's Shane McLean won the women's individual title in 1:55.38.
The Montana State men's team was led by David Owsley, who finished 15th overall in 1:57.21 to notch a team-high 26 points. He was followed in scoring by Geoff Irwin, 17th, 1:57.53, and Ryan McConnell, 28th, 2:04.87.
Utah's Nick Cohee won the men's giant slalom crown with a two-run clocking of 1:54.21.
After three events, Utah remains atop the team standing with 718 points. The Utes are followed by CU 621, UAA 551, Denver 551, MSU 543, New Mexico 516, Westminster 166, and Colorado Mountain College 51.
The UAA Invite will conclude with the slalom races on Friday.
