Bobcats Down Thunderbirds in Four

Montana State Junior Sarah Horton tallied a team leading 22 kills and added 13 digs to lift the Bobcat volleyball team to a 25-18, 26-24, 21-25, 25-20 win over Southern Utah in Cedar City, Utah.
Montana State (11-5, 5-3) outhit Southern Utah in all but the fourth set and cruised through the first set with a .242 attack mark, highest of the match.
“At times we weren't playing our best, but we were still able to get the win. It showed a lot of character for this team,” said MSU head coach Kyle Weindel.
Also contributing to the Bobcat attack was Macy Page with 14 kills, and Eli Svisco with 12 kills while adding 16 digs. Jennifer Lundquist dished out 50 assists and Taylor Barney chipped in eight kills.
“It was a complete team effort, both offensively and defensively,” added Weindel.
Southern Utah (8-11, 4-4) was paced in the loss by Analaine Mailoto, with 15 kills and 16 digs.
The Bobcats host Sacramento State next Saturday in Schroyer Gym.
