Senior Macy Page posted 15 kills, a .262 attack mark and four blocks, but it wasn’t enough as Big Sky-leading Portland State notched a 25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21 win over Montana State, Thursday night in the Stott Center.
BOXSCORE: Portland State 3, Montana State 1
Senior Macy Page posted 15 kills, a .262 attack mark and four blocks, but it wasn't enough as Big Sky-leading Portland State notched a 25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21 win over Montana State, Thursday night in the Stott Center.
“We're still searching for a complete team effort,” said MSU head coach Kyle Weindel. “I thought we did a nice job in sets two and three, after coming out slow in the opening set. At times, we were in control, but we need to have consistent play over the course of an entire match.”
Also hitting double-figures for Montana State (12-9, 6-7) was Sarah Horton with 11 kills. Horton also tied her career-high, with a match-best 19 digs. Also reaching double-digits saves were Jennifer Lundquist 18, Nicole Baker 17 and Eli Svisco 15. Freshman Natalie Godfrey led the Bobcats at the net with a career-high ten blocks.
Montana State will play at Eastern Washington on Saturday night. The Eagles defeated Montana 3-0 on Thursday night in Cheney.
