Spring Semester Yields High Marks for Student-Athletes
For the Spring 2011 semester, 53 Bobcat student-athletes finished with either all A's or A minuses. 24 Bobcat student-athletes completed the semester with a flawless tab and were named to the President's List with a 4.0 semester grade point average. 29 finished with all A's and A minuses.
In addition to the President's List honorees, 91 total student-athletes were named to the Dean's List for earning a 3.5-3.99 grade point average for the term. With 211 student-athletes over a 3.0, it is no wonder the Bobcats posted a team average of 3.26 for the spring semester.
“This is always something to be proud of,” said Director of Athletics Peter Fields. “This academic success is a true testament to their commitment to the excellence of Montana State University Athletics.”
The Spring 2011 term marks the 19th consecutive semester with a team grade point average above a 3.0.
