Gilbert leads revitalized offense in Great Falls
Grayson Galloway threw for 181 yards and Everett Gilbert added 73 all-purpose yards for Montana State's offense in the team's Triangle Classic scrimmage in Great Falls on Saturday.
MSU's offensive performance came in response to a dominant day by the Bobcat defense in last week's initial major scrimmage of the spring. "I thought it was a bounce-back day by the offense," said MSU coach Rob Ash. "The defense was without (defensive tackle) Zach Minter and (safety) Joel Fuller and (linebacker) Aleksei Grosulak, but the offense did some good things. We ran the ball better today, and Grayson took another step forward."
RUSHING: Tray Robinson 14-62, Kerry Sloan 2-3, Cody Kirk 5-47, CJ Palmer 5-33, Everett Gilbert 3-19-1, John Ellis 1-8, Chad Price 4-22, Matt Balen 1-2, David Dash 1- -10, Grayson Galloway 2-8 (does not include sack yardage), Lee Stunkard 1-1.
PASSING: DeNarius McGhee 11-3-0, 20; Grayson Galloway 21-13-1, 181.
