New recruit bolsters MSU's offensive line

Connor Thomas, an offensive lineman from Kalispell, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to join the Montana State football program, Bobcat coach Rob Ash announced Friday.

The brother of current Bobcat Tyler Thomas, who transferred to MSU from Oregon State in January, Connor Thomas earned First Team All-State honors on offense and defense as a junior, and all-conference honors as a senior at Flathead High. He was runner-up in the state wrestling championships as a heavyweight as a junior, and finished third this season.

“Connor is an outstanding talent as an offensive lineman,” Ash said. “He was a two-way player throughout his career as well as a very good wrestler, so he is very athletic. He has excellent balance, footwork, and agility, and has good size. We think he'll be an outstanding prospect in our system, and he's also a very good student so he'll do a good job in the classroom.”
