Bobcat legend Travis Lulay leads BC Lions to Grey Cup Championship
The people in British Columbia learned on Sunday night what Bobcat fans have known for years - Travis Lulay is a winner.
The architect of three Big Sky Championships as Montana State's quarterback from 2002-05 led the B.C. Lions to a 34-23 win in the 99th Grey Cup on Sunday. Lulay threw for over 320 yards in the title tilt, including a 64-yard touchdown pass to close the third quarter and all but seal the win. He finished 20-of-32 on the night.
Lulay capped a spectacular season, in which he was named the CFL's outstanding offensive player. The Lions began the year 0-5, but turned it around with a run to a Western Conference crown and now a Grey Cup Championship.
Lulay was also named the Grey Cup's Most Valuable Player.
