
Bobcat Women open Big Sky play at home

The Montana State women's basketball squad will begin Big Sky Conference action when it hosts Sacramento State and Northern Colorado in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.

The Montana State women's basketball team will open Big Sky Conference action on Thursday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m., when it hosts Sacramento State. The Bobcats are currently 6-8 overall and have put together four straight victories, including a pair of road games at Brigham Young and Utah Valley last weekend in the Beehive State. MSU was led last week by Sarah Balian, who garnered Big Sky Conference Player of the Week accolades after averaging 16 points and 13 rebounds per game. Sacramento State is 3-10 overall. The Hornets and Bobcats have played three common opponents this season. MSU is 2-1 against Seattle, CS Bakersfield and Pacific, while SAC is 0-3. Sacramento State has been paced by Kylie Kuhns, who averages 16.9 points and a league-high 12.5 rebounds per contest. Northern Colorado is 5-8 overall and will play at Montana on Thursday night before making the trip to Bozeman. UNC and MSU have played one like school-- both dropping decisions to the University of Denver.
