EWU trips up Montana State at Reese Court
Eastern Washington shot 54 percent from the field in the second half and 91 percent from the free throw line to race past Montana State 74-69 in Cheney on Friday.
All five Eagle starters scored in double-digits on Friday, paced by Kevin Winford's 19 points. Bobby Howard led the Bobcats with 18 points, while Yakima native Branden Johnson scored 13 points with nine rebounds for MSU.
MSU falls to 12-12 overall, 7-6 in Big Sky play, with the loss. Eastern Washington is now 7-18 overall and 3-8 in the league, sweeping MSU in the season series.
