The Montana State Nordic ski team put together strong back-to-back efforts in the freestyle and classic races this weekend to guide MSU to a sixth place finish at the Utah Invitational, Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcat women's contingent led MSU on Saturday as Corrine Malcolm finished ninth overall, covering the 15-kilometer event in 58:19.4. Also scoring for

Alaska-Anchorage's Michael Schallinger won the men's crown in 1:00.36.
On Friday, Roenning led all MSU skiers finishing with a season-high second place in the 10K classic in 34:16.4. Also earning points were Reinking, 17th, 36:16.5, and Luke Bromley, 22nd, 37:13.8.
Also notching finishes were Hans Nygren, 26th, 37:26.3, Drew Scott, 30th, 38:01.5, and Ryan Scott, 32nd, 38:40.2.
Casey Kutz paced MSU with her second top ten finish of the year, placing 8th in the women's 5K classic with a clocking of 19:32.5.
