
Eagles Clip Montana State Spikers

Eastern Washington (6-5, 2-0) out-hit Montana State (2-9, 0-2) .208 to .134. In addition, the Eagles held a 44-29 advantage in kills.
The Bobcats had a shot at winning the second set of the match, staking a seven-point lead. EWU answered back to take its first lead at 17-16. With the stanza tied at 21-all, Eastern Washington rattled off four unanswered points for the win.
MSU was paced by Kyla Hendry and Jodeen Rademacher with nine kills each. Rademacher also added 11 digs, while Hendry chipped in a team-best four blocks. Bobcat libero Meghan Albiston led all Montana State players with a team-high 14 digs.
“I thought we did some nice things, and give credit to Eastern Washington for playing outstanding defense,” said MSU head coach Sara Schaub. “There was a lot of long rallies, but we ended with more offensive errors and that's something we need to take care of this week in practice.”
For the match, the Bobcat out-blocked the Eagles 8-1.
Montana State will host Montana on Friday night in Shroyer Gym.
