He will be competing at the conference championships this week in the hammer and the discus. His season best throw in the discus was 158’7”. He leads the ‘Cats in both events. He is currently ranked second in the conference in the hammer and tenth in the discus.

Montana State has qualified a full slate of competitors (25 each) on both the men’s and women’s teams. Head coach Dale Kennedy is hoping the women could finish as high as second and the men as high as third or fourth. Even though coach Kennedy likes to predict the meet on paper, something he calls the “power score”, he admits surprises can happen.
“I have to look at the meet and who is entered to see where the best places are to put our athletes to score. A lot in this conference meet depends on who is entered in what. It’s not your normal, non-scored meet,” Kennedy said.
A full list of MSU conference participants can be found in the attached pdf. Team and event scores will be posted as soon as each event is finished at http://www.montanagrizzlies.com/pages/default.aspx?p=72&m=283.
