Kelly Gillum is co-BSC Player of the Week

Montana State’s Kelly Gillum and Northern Arizona’s Bethany Leclair have been selected as the co-Big Sky Conference Golfers of the Week after strong performances at the Wyoming Cowgirls Classic.
Both players fired 54-hole scores of 222 to finish tied for first. Gillum won a scorecard tiebreaker to claim medalist honors. Leclair led the Lumberjacks to the team championship.
The tournament, which included all nine Big Sky teams, was held Monday and Tuesday at Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. The course will play host to the Big Sky Championship April 20-22.
Gillum, a senior from Fort Collins, Colo., entered the final round two shots behind Leclair. Gillum shot a two-over-par 74 in the final round. She opened the tournament with a 76 and followed with an even-par 72, a career-best.
Leclair, a sophomore from Scottsdale, Ariz., opened with a 77, fired a career-best three-under-par 69 in the second round before closing with a 76. The 69 tied the Northern Arizona single-round record.
The 69 helped Northern Arizona to a 296 in the second round, tying for the seventh-best round in school history. Northern Arizona won the 20-team meet with a 908, one shot better than Fresno State.
Gillum and Leclair have each been selected Golfer of the Week twice this season.
