Nicholas has two years of eligibility left and will likely specialize in long jump and sprints.
“I think he has immediate scoring potential,” Eitel said. “His strong area is jumps, but he can possibly do some sprinting as well.”
Nicholas qualified three times for the junior college nationals, twice in the long jump and once in the triple jump. He was also an Academic All-American.
Nicholas hails from Essex, Iowa where he also played football and basketball in high school. He plans to major in Kinesiology.
